Wall Battle Competition @Pasar Borong Kuala Lumpur

Tembok 20 Kaki, Dua Hari, Spray Satu Kotak – Let’s Go

Bayangkan diberi dinding besar 20 kaki × 8 kaki, dan diberitahu,
“Bro, dua hari je tau.”

Siapa yang tak biasa buat mural mungkin fikir lukis mural macam lukis nota Add Math.
Tapi sebenarnya:
tekanan dia sama macam nelayan tarik pukat masa ikan tengah banyak.
Silap sikit boleh rosak semua.

Hari pertama: sketch.
Hari kedua: warna sampai lenguh lengan, tapi puas hati.

Sotong comel tapi nampak garang sikit

Udang yang nampak mahal, macam nak masuk restoran

Warna-warna yang sama macam pasar basah... merah ikan, pink sotong, biru tong air

Semua elemen ni kita “transform” jadi karakter yang weird tapi lovable

The complete work

Bila siap, terus rasa macam tembok tu hidup.
Setiap karakter nampak macam nak keluar dari dinding—
ikan senyum, sotong melambai, vibe semua happy.

Kadang-kadang budak kecil lalu terus berhenti:
“Mak, ikan ni kenapa mata dia besar?”
—itu pun dah cukup buat kita senyum.

Kesimpulan – Dua Hari, Seribu Cerita

Wall Battle @ Pasar Borong bukan sekadar siapa menang.
Ia tentang satu komuniti — artis, peniaga, nelayan, orang sekitar —

Germany Unity Day Mural

On 1 October 2020 we have completed a mural in conjunction with 30th anniversary of reunification of Germany, or Germany Unity Day. This mural was commissioned by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Kuala Lumpur.

The complete mural

Located just outside the official residence of Germany Ambassador, we took 2 days to complete the mural. The mural was completed with 100% use of spray.

The mural is just outside the official residence of Germany Ambassador

In this mural, we try to symbolize the rich cultural relationship between Germany and Malaysia.

Sketching process

Both countries share similar sentiments to promote peace. The idea of dove breaking free from the wall with Malaysia and Germany flags on its wings represent the freedom and sovereignty of the two countries. The wall itself depicts the fall of the Berlin Wall that led to the German reunification, while the mural of flowers represent the national symbols for Germany (cyani flower) and Malaysia (hibiscus).

Process of sketching and coloring

The mural remain open for public viewing from October 1 until November.

With the embassy’s Charge d’affaires, Dr David Krivanek and other artist who involved in the program

Media coverage by Astro Awani

The mural also get extensive media coverage because Germany Unity Day is a very meaningful and special day for the people of Germany.

Palm Oil Mural for MPOB

We have been commissioned to do this
mural for Malaysian Palm Oil Berhad
with the given theme, futuristic while featuring some
of their product. The whole wall took about 2 weeks to finish.

The wall before painting begins.

MPOB Wall is done.
MPOB Wall is done.

The most challenging part is to make it more than just a
plain mural on the wall. So we turn this mural into a 3d interactive mural where the audience can pose with the mural and pretend that they were in it.

Audience pretending to pluck the palm oil fruits.
3d Motorcycle
motorized  gaff and computer
Here is the work progress video.
